The Copyright for Hire story introduces two hardboiled agents known only as #Thrie and #Pye to a string of interesting people. So who are these people?
Their adventures begin with the appeaance of a distrught Mrs. Poe. Her husband has died under mysterious circumstances, and she want these two number crunchers to step up and become full fledged detectives. When they agree to take up the case they immedietely encounter resistance from the actual homicide detective for the city, and eventually they find themselves ambushed in a dark alley by thugs.
